Fans of his cinema will know that the English director is not going to give in to the diary of his offbeat daily life. When he isolates himself in the countryside, it's to indulge in a trip from behind the scenes. At the crossroads of his A Field in England and Alex Garland's Annihilation, In the Earth navigates in a DIY science-fiction from which emerge anomalies embodied by the grandiose Reece Shearsmith (from the no less grandiose Inside No. 9 series) or by psychotropic emanations of the best effect.
