Posted on 04/11/14

You have been awfully nice waiting for the last titles of our splashy selection. Enough with that, let's discover the rest of our programme for 2014 : in Competition, Bradley King's spatiotemporal and hitchcockian thriller Time Lapse ; Andres Torres' homicidal odyssey through New York Bag Boy Lover Boy and a story about love and death with Fabrice Du Welz's Alléluia. Out of competition, you will find Dan Gilroy's aggressive Nightcrawler, an authentic trip in Hell driven by the truly outstanding Jake Gyllenhaal ; Nicolas Kleiman and Rob Lindsay's documentary Why Horror? will help you understand the origins of attraction for horror films and finally, Spierig Brothers' breathtaking hunt for a terrorist through time, Predestination.

Our cult screenings will also take you to many destinations : dreams are degenerating in Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street, Australia becomes wild in Ted Kotcheff's Wake in Fright while Poland is subject to virtual worlds in Mamoru Oshii's Avalon, and you will escape the highways with George Sluizer's The Vanishing. The « Alien Attack Night » will expose you to uncool pods (Philip Kaufman's Invasion of the Body Snatchers), totalitarian aliens (John Carpenter's They Live), voracious jelly (Chuck Russell's The Blob) and Stephen Chiodo's Killer Klowns From Outer Space.

Is your agenda full now ? Good. Let us remind you the dates : november 18 to 23. The spot too ?! Yeah, OK, it's at the Gaumont Opéra Capucines (2, boulevard des Capucines, 75009). Do you know how to get your tickets ? Once again : they will be available at the Gaumont Opéra Capucines (the one and only), the website of the Gaumont Opéra Capucines and also on the Mad Movies Shop if you wanna treat yourself with the ultimate pass of the century.
