Two clueless neighbors, John and Levi, witness unexplained phenomena in the latter's shabby apartment. They embark on the making of a documentary and become locked in paranoid delusions, linked to the occult history of Los Angeles.

Over the last two years, the platforms have taught us that there are even worse things than repeated confinements: confinement films, shot during these difficult periods with the means at hand and without inspiration. It took the genius of the creative tandem Benson / Moorhead to break this curse and propose a work capable of reflecting on this specific situation, on its resonance with contemporary conspiratorial obsessions, all in an artistically stimulating film. If The Endless seemed to close a cycle in their filmography, Something in the Dirt engages their cinematographic path on equally vertiginous tracks.
