Exposed to radiation, Scott Carey experiences a worrying phenomenon, to say the least: he is shrinking. First his clothes are too big, then he struggles to climb onto a chair, thenhe gets so small that his cat becomes a threat.

Jack Arnold's most popular movie does not grow old and will never grow old. Indeed, the inventiveness he finds to give life to the infinitely large and the infinitely small guarantees that he will impress future generations of blasé spectators. This is also made possible by the scenario of the great Richard Matheson which is full of twists and turns, existential dizziness, and an original use of perspective. Beyond the sensationalism of the subject, Jack Arnold deals with it in the best way.
