The Blob

A meteorite crashes on earth, releasing an unknown alien amoeba . The human species is in danger...

Third adventure of the gelatinous monster born in 1985 in The Blob by Irvin S. Yeaworth Jr., The Blob ends the (short) partnership between director Chuck Russell and scriptwriter Frank Darabont. In 1987 they released A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, and here they are the authors of a particularly agressive remake. With highly gore ingenuity, their Blob is also hilariously mean: everybody trespasses, swallowed by the creature created by specialist Tony Gardner.
